I am getting hooked on going vintage!

WOOHOO! I am excited. Last night, after a fun and hard workout on the track I went to the Tully's in Redmond's Bella Botega Plaza to meet a guy. I contacted him through Craigslist since he had a vintage fixie bike for sale. (Pictures to be posted when I get them developed - next week!)
I may have mud on my face but I thought for $150 it was a great deal. The frame is all black with chrome for the fork, beautifully designed lugs and the rear dropout. The only real concern I had was that the chrome was in excellent condition but you could tell 'rust' got to it a bit. Not a lot but just enough to discolor some of the areas. He said the top tube had that issue a bit too but he sanded it (or whatever), primed it, painted and clear coated it. He said he has had it hanging in his garage since 2000. It looked pretty good though, otherwise. I will need a
'fixed cog' on it since right now it has a bmx freewheel. I will need tape and a brake. A new back tire - at least since he said that was real old but that the front tire may be ok. Tom will give me his honest opinion.
It has:
Front Wheel: Mavic CXP32 (SUP)
Rear Wheel: Velocity Aerohead
Salsa handle bars (recycled cycles)
San Marco seat - old style - big, feels like suede almost
Raleigh SR Seat Post
Bullseye rear hub
OB-1 front hub
Super maxy crank
It is a bit heavy which is good for a winter bike!!! :) It will put the power in the legs.
It is a 42x16 so not sure what I should use for winter riding.
Dang! But now I am online shopping around for vintage tapes and so forth. I am thinking of doing Benotto Cello Handlebar Tape - Pink - like the kind I had when I was in Jr. High/High School. I had a blue - I think Schwinn - men's bike with pink tape. Very cool! Loved it! BUT WAIT! I can get a pink chain as well just to have some matching accessories!!! Then! I found these cool tires but I don't know if they will work on the wheels. SpeedBlend Tires! OH SO COOL! Ok, ok, if not then I may just go standard black tires. There are no decals on the bike, etc. so it would be a 'stealth' bike with some awesome PINK accessories screaming to be looked at - screaming I'm being rode by a female that loves bikes and wants to have fun in those ways that 'accessorize'. LOL!! (Pictures posted below)
