Monday Night at the Track.....whooping!

WHOA NELLIE!!! I started with the WRONG group to begin with. Jane also started in the wrong group. Jane kicked butt against some newbies - pounded them like there was no tomorrow - and grabbed some points while at it. On the other hand, my butt was pounded and handed to me on a silver platter. Against junior racers! It was humiliating to say the least! Well I had fun doing 5 laps anyway. So Jerry told us to switch and we did - a perfect match (no not the website!). Jane was giving those juniors the run for their age!!! hee hee.... I was making the new girls work hard. I was able to place and grab some points in the last race. The second race I came in 4th - no points - but hey better than last! :) Jill was with Jane on the first race. She was with me on the second race and helped kick butt! I think she came in 2nd or 3rd. I am not totally sure because I become so tunnel visioned during racing. Funny, how I wish I could be that way at work. Just block out all the noise, criticism, other issues in the world and just become tunnel visioned. Jill was having a challenging day and took it a bit easy. It wasn't the same without her lively attitude and trash talking. She is affectionately known as the dominatrix. Me the trash talker.... now... Jane... I think we need to come up with something for her. She strategizes, she is vengeful against the youngsters and she kicks butt. Man get her on that track with her gearing - whoooo lordy! WATCH OUT! She's going to whoop your butt!

Monday night's racing wasn't as energy filled but it was still fun. Tom P, Jimmy P and Dan W came to watch us again. They cheered on Mike M and Mario for their first races ever! WOOHOO! They did awesome. They also cheered on Brian who already - in one week - is definitely showing improvement. Gregg did awesome as well! I think we are all getting stronger and tactically smarter. Not just week to week but from race to race each week. It is awesome to watch. Last night Phil gave us feedback and criticism about what we did that was good or bad. It really helped to get his feedback.

It was a good race night and hopefully next week we will all be up to par again for an exhilirating, heart pounding, muscle aching, fun and challenging good time! :)
